If you're looking to clean up messes quickly, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the best way to go. The best robot vacuums and mop I tested had excellent mapping and navigation. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as wires that were tangled.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks using an app and track their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum. It has the latest features. This high-end model is incredibly fast and nimble it can remove debris such as pet hair and human hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few on-screen buttons to control the device manually.
Another notable characteristic of the S8 is its ability to change its cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will wash its mopping pads more frequently if it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
It comes with a range of other innovative features as well, including a different dock that connects to your plumbing to clean and wash the mop roller, without having you to refill it manually. With the built-in voice assistant of the S8, you can use voice commands to set the cleaning mode of your room and provide precise control with just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum that can mop, the Yeedi Cube is one of the more flexible alternatives. It's part of a litany of robot vacuums that also feature mops but comes at a cheaper price than the majority of competitors.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though, the robot can start vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It's worth noting that mapping takes a while and may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. The object detection is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, however, it got stuck on a rug with tassels, and required a flip to release itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an appliance that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an absolute game changer that can get to places robot vacuums cannot.
The model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and some additional intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home and offer the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The app's smart features allow you to modify a range of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each task to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and then place the debris in a self-sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from recirculating. The battery longevity is sufficient to handle large spaces without requiring a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more top-quality robot vacuums and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It features a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also boasts a unique mopping system, which utilizes a continuous roller filled with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without crashing. However, it did struggle with fine engrained debris and wasn't always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also very high, which means this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking technology that allows it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dustbin as well as dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on an ongoing basis. Eufy's app lets you control all its functions. It provides a clear overview with plenty of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums that are available. It provides amazing results when it comes to mopping and vacuuming. The app allows users to fine-tune the map coverage, set up no-go zones and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to stop hair from wrapping around it. This is an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads spinning at 180 RPM, while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with smart carpet detectors, which raise the pads when they are close to soft surfaces to prevent contamination.
The docking station is designed to function as a hands-free center for maintenance, automatically washing and drying the mops, and refilling them with water and detergent. The base station features an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust and allows for 7 weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my home office clean. It is also able to reach the corners of my small apartment. It utilizes a laser mapping camera and laser to create a 3D model of your home, so it can know what to stay clear of. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it detects objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like bowls and dog toys (but not poop!).
Other amazing features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature, and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops miss. You can also alter the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping, and can distinguish between carpets, laminate and hardwood with high-pile rugs. It also lets you skip mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to reduce time. If you have a wide range of flooring options in your home and don't wish to spend additional money for a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping features this is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice when you're seeking a flexible robot that can perform regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups for messy water stains. It comes with a wide range of features, including a self emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, and adjustable settings through the app. It's extremely quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. It's unable to pick up knots in the rug and its battery drains faster than other models we test.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that provides an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it performed quite well. It comes with a variety of cleaning modes, from the low power 'Quiet mode' for light debris to the incredibly powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It will even remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in small spaces. It's quick and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces with ease. It also does a very nice job of getting pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competitors however it doesn't compromise features. It has decent suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it chooses (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as 'not located' so that they won't be picked up again during future cleanings. remote hoover are encrypted and not tied to you account.
It's great for vacuuming, but not so good at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mophead.
